Executive Director > IFFCO (Kalol Unit)

Shri. Shamsher Singh is working as Executive Director in Indian Farmers Fertiliser Co-operative Ltd (IFFCO), one of the largest Fertilizer Cooperative in the world. He is the Chief Executive Officer of IFFCO’s Kalol Unit and he is responsible for overall Management of the Unit. He is a Post Graduate in Chemical Engineering from  Institute of Technology (IT), Banarus Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi.  After passing out from BHU, he joined IFFCO in 1977 as a Graduate Engineer and from there he has worked  with various Units of IFFCO in different capacities. He has rich experience in Project Implementation, Production, Materials Management, Training, Personnel & Administration areas. He is an able Orator in Hindi and has wide knowledge in Yoga, Vedas and Literature.

He has visited countries worldwide for official assignments and attending Symposiums and Seminars.

Raja Raman Chaudhary holds a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering and has completed his Masters in Technology in Industrial Pollution Abatement from Indian Institute of Technology – Roorkee and has prepared & published technical & research papers on environment and pollution abatement in chemical industry.

He is a GRI trained professional; certified sustainability, lead auditor ISO 14001; Internal Auditor ISO 9001, OHSAS 18001, RC 14001 & green buildings evaluator trained on Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment & IGBC-LEED.

Raja Raman has over eleven (11) years of experience in implementing and managing environment & pollution control systems / schemes in various industries. Presently, he is working with Tata Chemicals Limited (Crop & Nutrition Business) as Head – Environment Management. His current assignments include leading the initiatives to reduce company-wide resource consumption and waste generation and the efforts to implement the company’s sustainability vision, mission and operating principles, and lead the development of site level strategy to support the vision of the company for developing & implementing frameworks to address the key sustainability issues by monitoring emerging trends, programs and issues, and communicating and educating others on sustainability topics. He is also representing the company in various technical and expert committees on EHS at Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) and industry associations.

During his previous tenure he was an active member of various technical committees at Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), The Energy Research Institute (TERI), Green Rating for Integrated Habitat Assessment. (GRIHA) and was member of various IS (Indian Standard) & ISO (International Organization for Standardization) technical committees working for preparing of standards & technical specifications on product and its use. He was also associated with international organizations such as WBCSD (World Business Council for Sustainable Development).

Mr. A.K. Sharma is a Chemical Engineer by profession and has graduated with honours from Anna University, Chennai in 1986.  He has done Masters in Operations Management from INDIRA GANDHI NATIONAL OPEN UNIVERSITY in 1995.

He has been working in IFFCO - Kandla since Oct. 1986.  During his period of 29 years career, he has worked in different functional areas of Operations, Utility, Projects and Technical Services. Presently he is working as Dy. General Manager-Process Engineering in Technical services.  He is responsible for Plant Technical Services related to Process Control, MIS and Project Management activities. He is the Convenor of Suggestion Scheme under which innovative ideas are generated and implemented in IFFCO -  Kandla. He has been project guide for students pursuing Management Courses of IGNOU for their project work on subjects related to Technical, Projects, Environment and MIS applications. He has also been project guide for students pursuing graduation in Chemical Engineering mainly in areas of Process Control and Project Management.
